Attleborough High School
Norfolk,
Group status: We've a lot of people new to shadowing this year but the strength of clashing opinions is as dramatic as ever! We look forward to our traditional debating/voting/cake-eating celebratory finale - with our guests from Old Buckenham High School

At last! Some of us managed to get together and stop reading for long enough to smile for the camera!

The excitement is growing! People are disagreeing strongly ! Some real duds on the list this year though...:(

Do you think that the time has now come for the Carnegie medal to be divided so that there are separate awards for books written for, say, 6-12 year olds and for 13 and up?

Yes.
No.
That's a TERRIBLE idea.
Not yet.

Title: His Dark Materials: Book 1 Northern Lights
Author: Philip Pullman
Winning Year: 1995

Pullman's DUST and DAEMONS. Utterly superb creations. However, the NOISE made by Patrick Ness looks set to be remembered as being equally significant in the world of books for young people.

WHAT a great writer! Let's hope he lives a good, long, healthy life and writes HUNDREDS more superb novels!
