70 Years Celebration

 

CILIP would like to thank the following companies, trusts, organisations, shadowing groups and individuals for supporting the Carnegie & Kate Greenaway Children's Book Awards and shadowing scheme. Their generosity and foresight helps CILIP to recognise and reward outstanding books for children and young people; promote the value and expertise of librarians, and support the development of shadowing as a leading educational activity engaging thousands of children and young people in reading for pleasure.



ALCS
For supporting the print and distribution of 300,000 copies of the Carnegie / Greenaway anniversary timeline leaflet.




Arts Council / National Lottery
For supporting the development of The Living Archive web pages and the creation of educational resource packs.




CLT
For supporting the Carnegie / Greenaway anniversary party at the British Library on 21 June.




Carnegie UK Trust
For supporting the current and future development of the awards from 2006-2010 and hosting an anniversary themed event at the Festival of the Imagination in Dunfermline in August.

For hosting the launch of the Carnegie / Greenaway Top Tens on 20th April and an anniversary themed display in their book den.

Youth Libraries Group
For the hours of time given on a voluntary basis by members of the judging panel, the CKG working party and YLG national committee to maintain the highest standards of judging, and to oversee the management and development of the awards as the UK's premiere book awards for children and young people.
