About me
The pictures on the book marks are a bit small so you can not see what all the books are so to make it better the pictures could be a bit bigger and a bit wider>

Trash
(Danny J) It lookas like a good book to enjoy. It is likely it is in a poor environment in Africa.

My first chapter of A Monster Calls.
Hey last night was my first chapter read of A Monster Calls, the first ever thing i'm shocked about is the uses of graphics on every page. Normally in a teens reading book there's never any graphics. If there is it's at the start of a new chapter and a simple drawing; of something related to the theme of the chapter. I love the structure of the writing, and I would read more of his books for this.

Midnight zoo
(Danny j) this book looks mysterious in a good way, I think all the animals escape from the zoo and come back in the morrnig . From looking at the book Iwould say that it has got wolves in it.

judging a book by its cover!
(Georgina-emi B)People say never judge a book by its cover, but we all know we do. My first impression on a book is by its cover doesn't mean I wont read it. Our first task is to judge the book by what you see. My first choice was A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness, My first opinion was "Wow, Miss it has pitures in it!" You never see pitures in a book now a days I was so surprised it had them so I had to read the book. hello people

Trash
The book 'Trash' gives me a feeling of sadness because there is a picture of a boy who is playing in trash which could mean he is homeless or in poverty which reminds me of Africa or some type of country.

My First Impressions
This is my first time of doing this Shadowing the Carnegie....Small Change for Stuart looks like a boys book because of the front cover plus the colour of the background is a boys blue. A Monster calls has a dark picture and it looks like a horror/scary book so I think this book will be suitable for you.

A monster calls.
(Danny J) The monster calls looks like a good book to read if you like monster stuff. The book is eye catching and pulles you to it, it has got a thing where you need to read it.

The Midnight Zoo
The first impression that 'the midnight zoo' gives me is a relaxing theme towards the book. It also gives me a chilled out and smooth type of vibe.

My sister lives on the mantlepiece.
What I think of this book is that this is going to be a funny/sweet story. I say this because of the way the title is said and it has a little cartoon image or sketch of a little girl. Where in the background has a lanscape of a mantle piece which looks as if she's standing on it.

Everybody Jam
The front cover gave me a comedy feel towards the book but it gives me a serious type of feel as well. It looks relaxing at first but looks like a sad story as well

A Monster Calls
The first impresssion the book gave me was a spooky type of feel. The monster figure on the front gave me a scary/frightning type of feel towards the book which dared me to read the book.

MY first blog
My name is Daniel Johnson I am 13 years old and this is my first blog. The first book is called "Everybody jam" my first thoughts were "The book looks cool". It looks like it is in Texas.I think that everyone dancers.

Between shades of gray.
The opinion I got on this book is that this is going to be either a sad/gloomy story or a romace/tragic story. I say this because of the way the cover is presented.

my name is Mina
The first impression the book gave me was a boring type of theme with the feather covering the end of the title. but when Istarted reading the book it was amazing. the font used for My Name Is Mina gave me a destruction type of feel.

Everybody Jam.
My opinion on this book is that it is maybe going to be a story of people who live on a farm during a drought season and that it maybe a comedy maybe the way the language "Everybody jam'' is said in.

My Name is Mina.
The impression I first got of this book was that because the writing was in red and looks to be in blood type font. So to me it looks as if this book is going to a murder mystery type story.

A monster calls.
My first impression of the book when i saw it was exitement. Because seeing it says the word monster I got the thought that this is going to be a type of spooky/scary story. And I am into those type of stories.

my opinions
I think that the cover of 'everybody jam' doesn't look that interesting but i think it might be set in a desert because of the background or maybe texas. The cover of 'my name is mina' i think it might hold some violence in it.

my first time
its my first time in this reading group and i think that some of the books look very interesting. I think that the cover of the book 'my sister lives on the mantlepiece' is a little bit plain but looksand sounds interesting so that is what i'm going to read first. Also, 'the midnight zoo' looks very good and i can't wait to read that either!

My first time
I think that between shades of gray looks like a good but and i carn`t wait to read it , Everbody jam doesnt look that good but i think it will be set in Africa because off the background , I Think my name is Nina will be like a diary and what she loves dislikes , A Monster calls looks like a book a boy would read , looking at the Trash book will be good i rekon it is set in Africa because of the way the houses are made , I think the community will come together and clean the community

Joining the reading group
When I first enetered the reading group, I struggled to pick a book. I thought of reading my sister lives on the mantelpiece, but then I read the blurb and realised it was a sad story and I like to read more of a funny or adventure book. Then I saw The midnight zoo. The deep purple cover remined me of adventure and the wolf looking up at the moon reminded me of mystery. That is the book I picked. I also thought about reading Small change for Stuart, however it looked a little bit boyish. The next book I may read is My name is Mina because it looks like a mystery book.
