Read the books?
Mrs B has read all the books and really enjoyed them - a much better choice than the shortlist last year but it makes it so much more difficult to choose a fave! Which one would you choose? Write your reviews...

Which to choose!!
I've read three books so far and have thoroughly enjoyed every one! They are all so different and I'd find it hard to pick out one of them for the award. It's going to be a very difficult decision this year!!

Starting the Carnegie 2012 shortlist!
I'm starting with My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece - I've heard so many good things about it so I want to see for myself!

nearly there!!
I'm nearly finished Monsters of Men but have another two books to read. I hope I manage them all before the big day - 23rd June! Even if you haven't read all the books, vote on "your favourite book" poll on the profile page. The organisers want to know all the groups' top 3 books. I wonder if we'll agree with the final decision. Remember to write your book reviews so I can put them up on the profile page.

Carnegie medal next year!!
Hope you're enjoying reading all the books, with a view to making your own choice about who should win. Who's up for doing this again next year? Maybe we could start it earlier when the short list comes out in November? Let me know what you think....

New skin!
Ooooh, love the new skin!! I'm on Monsters of Men now. Really enjoying it. It's a very different series of books to what I usually read but I like the style. Remember to vote for your favourite book on the home page - Out of Shadows is winning at the moment!

Carnegie meet
Change of plan for the Carnegie meet. The week beginning 20th June is out, now. Might try and go for the 14th but will have to check with Mrs C first.

Fancy a meet with Nairn and Kingussie Shadowers?
I'm trying to organise a meet-up in the last week of the shadowing - that would be week beginning 20th June. Hope you're all up for it? We can discuss the books we like best - I wonder if we'll all agree!!???

Next one
I'm on to The Ask and The Answer now. Really enjoying the series, although there was a sad moment in the first one!! Don't forget to add a blog post to say how you are getting on with your books and do the quiz on the home page so we can see which books are our favourites!

Plodding on!
I'm really enjoying "The Knife of Never Letting Go" It's the second time I've read it and I'm enjoying it more this time round. Have a look at the poll and vote for your fave book so far. Let us know what you think of the books you've read, in this blog.

Moving on...
I'm now reading The Knife of Never Letting Go. I want to read the first two of the trilogy before attempting Monsters of Men. I'd like to say 'Best Wishes' to Chani, from our group, who will be moving to a new school next week. Keep reading!!

Still reading...
I took a while to get into The Bride's Farewell too, but I enjoyed it from about halfway through. Now reading Pepper Roux and it took me a while to get into that... but I'm enjoying it now. It's very different, a bit of an Alice in Wonderland type story. My fave is still Out of Shadows!

I'm very busy reading at the moment, I've got the bride's farewell, which i'm still trying to see how it got shortlisted ( sorry to anyone who loves it, I just can't get into it!) and Monsters of Men, which i LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! The way it's written is different and magical and I love it. Hope everyone else does too!

Back to school!!
We're back in school after the Easter holidays. Hopefully everyone has had a chance to do a bit of reading. I really enjoyed Out of Shadows but took a bit longer to get into The Bride's Farewell. Now I can't put it down! Only about two months until the winner is chosen - lots of reading still to do...
