Celebrating Dickens' Birthday
Today we are celebrating Dickens' birthday. We did this by reading an atricle of one of his books called Oliver Twist. After this, we carried on reading the books we already have. I am reading 'Lottie Biggs is NOT tragic'. It is about a girl called Lottie who tries to plan her future. But things go wrong along the way. For example, her mum goes all drooly over a man at work and ends up going out with him. I haven't got near the end yet but I hope she gets what she wants. By Lucy Hartshorne

Prisoner of the Inquisition
I read the called 'Prisoner of the Inquisition'. In this book there are two narrators (a boy and a girl) both of them telling their own side of the story. The book starts off very sad because the girl's father hangs the boy's father. Yet the girl doesn't know that it is the boys father. After a different series of events the boy plots revenge and sets out to kill the girls family. After a few chapters more they become friends and set out to defeat the inquisition themselves. At the end of the story they go into a relationship and spend the rest of their lives together. A very heart-warming yet very sad book. By Lucy Hartshorne 8 Tower.

I read the book ' The Death Defying Pepper Roux ' . It was such a gripping read in the sense that one event happened and then a chapter to do with the after effects , leading back to another brilliant event. The book consist's of Pepper feeling slightly guilty but making the most of the thrill of running away from his father and steals his boat. Pepper is a very over joyed character because he has litterally ran away from his death. The whole story is an easy read with the occasional word I don't understand. But luckily I have a dictionary !
