Between Shades of Grey Review
This book was very sorrowful and evocative. I really loved the book and I was engrossed in it while Lina and Jonas made their journey; Lina desperate to keep in contact with her father. The train journey was very sad and I felt sorry for the people who lost somebody important on the train. All in all, this book was immensely sad but very nice to read.

Small Chance for Stuart Review
I really, really enjoyed this book. It was fun and imaginative. The triplets were funny characters; I enjoyed following Alice and Stuart's adventures. I also found it amusing how the story eventually turned out though it was a little confusing at the end. All in all, I immensely enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by this writer.

My Sister Lives on the Mantlepiece Review
This book was really good. The plot was unique and I enjoyed the twists. I didn't like the sad parts, as in Roger dying but overall, it was good. I also like how, though Jamie's dad didn't like Muslims, Jamie continued being friends with Sunya and was devastated when she became upset with him. The book could have been improved. There were too many references to swearwords and I didn't like how Jamie's dad kept saying 'Muslims were bad' though it got better throughout the book. Finally, it could have been a little kinder. Once or twice, it mentions somebody being gay and the characters act like it's a really bad thing to be called gay which I didn't like. All in all, I really liked this book and look forward to reading Annabel Pitcher's second book.

Everybody Jam Review
I liked this book. It was funny and the plot, though a little confusing, was good. I liked reading about the characters (especially the camel) but sometimes the names Danny used for people were confusing like 'Pommie' or 'Blackfellas'. Something I didn't like was the language. Often, there were swearwords or unpleasant words. Sometimes, Danny said upsetting things. I'd recommend this book, but I would improve the language.

My Name is Mina Review
I think this book could have been improved but I thought it was better then Skellig. I enjoyed watching how Mina was before she met Michael and Skellig and what she went through instead of Michael's perspective. I also liked seeing how Michael and Mina's stories began to come together and how the ending of 'My Name is Mina' is pretty much the beginning of 'Skellig'. The book could have been improved by being more consistent. The font, size of the font, person and tense was always changing and sometimes I had to go back and re-read something because of it. Also, he could have used a little less description. All in all, I liked the book but I wouldn't read it by choice.

A Monster Calls
This book shares the adventure and the journey of Conor to save his mother. This book is very powerful and has a unique writing style. There is no chapter where you are bored, and the beginning really catches your eye. This book is not overly scary and frightening, however the pictures are spooky and interesting. I highly recommend this book because I enjoyed it very much.

A Monster Calls Review
This book was very good. Conor's story was an interesting and sad one and I enjoyed reading it. The illustrations were very good and a little spooky. One thing I didn't like though, was the ending. It didn't seem to fit in and I felt a little like all the drama was pointless. All in all, however, I would recommend this book to everyone.

Trash Review
This book wasn't very good. Sometimes, the grammar was faulty and the plot went a little of track; though it was a good plot. I liked how the book switched from character to character but sometimes the character had nothing to say and at times I got a little confused about which character I was reading.
