Puffin Peter
Puffin Peter was a very interesting, lovely story to read. Appeals well with young children again, or people who just enjoy a bit of fun. The illustrations and colours were very eye catching, the way the artist used glue to create rain drops was amazing!

There are no cats in this book
This book was a very humorous read; appeals very well to young children. It was visually inviting, full of bright colour. A hit with the girls in our group! It would appeal to anyone who really likes cats, as the cats conveyed many personalities via the illustrations!

Solomon Crocodile
As a group, Solomon crocodile appeared to be one of the top 3. A few of our group were really drawn to the shiny gold on the front cover. We liked the way that the illustrations almost looked as if someone had just splashed paint around the page! The illustrations really fitted together well with the story line, and the text font aswell.

Can We Save the Tiger?
The creamy front cover made it appear as if it was an old historical book, the paper looked like parchment paper! It was a mixture between a non fact book and fiction, it was about animals that were extinct. It was interesting to read how the illustrator found the evidence so that she could draw the pictures. The drawings looked like sketches, as if it was a scientist or a historian sketching the real thing! Quite unique!

The Gift
As a group we found the style of illustration very interesting, it was compared to a shadow, and alot of us thought it was like a sillhouette! One person scored it a 20 out of 20!

Slog's Dad
As a group we found this quite sad as a boy loses his father, but believes he will come back someday. Some of us found it difficult to continue to read however we feel it could be quite a touching book and quite comforting to those going through the same sort of situation.

A Monster Calls
I thought this book was rather disturbing. One of the group members even had to put it down before she went to sleep!! As a group we thought the illustrations didn't really match the text, they also drowned out the font.
