Friday 16th of June. Our Carnegie day!
We, Wrenn Readers are looking forward to our Carnegie day. We are celebrating the 8Oth birthday of the Carnegie medal award and we are going to give it our all. Wrenn are putting up balloons, filling the table with confetti, putting up banners all around our LRC. We hope it will be a good day!

Our Carnegie Celebrations
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon visiting a neighbouring school to celebrate our Carnegie Shadowing experience. Four different schools got together to meet the Mayor of Wellingborough who gave out certificates for taking part. Of course there were also cakes, tea and sandwiches to be enjoyed as well as lots of discussions about the shortlisted books.

Judge was in School!
Tracey Frowhawk ( one of the Carnegie judges) came into Wrenn School to talk about what it is I like to be one of the judges. She mentioned how stressful it is to be a judge and also how tiring. However, she also mentioned that it is a privilege to be a judge as you get to meet a lot of new people and to able to decide who wins a life changing experience.

More Than This ~KE
This is a hard book to get into but the more you read it, the clearer the mystery of what is going on becomes. My view is that this book is very good and the title compliments the storyline. I would recommend this book to people who like a book of intrigue and mystery.

Apple and Rain
I've just finished this book and all I can say is AMAZING. The way the author took real life situations and pit them together was perfect. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends! ~N
