Book Review: Close Your Pretty Eyes
This book was a page turning masterpiece written by Sally Nicholls which kept me gripped until the last word. This book brought up very serious subjects and twisted them to make them into some of the parts of one of the best stories that I have read so far. This story is based around an 11 year old orphan who comes from a broken home and survives through years of moving and torture. In this particular story, she has many encounters with the ghost of the terrifying Amelia Dyer who was a baby farmer in the Victorian times. This book focuses on the subject of orphans, abuse ghosts and murder.

Revolver Review
summary- n 1910, in a lonely cabin 100 miles north of the Arctic circle, Sig Andersson sits alone with his father's body while his sister and stepmother go for help. A sled crossing on thin ice had proved foolhardy for Einar, an otherwise prudent man, and his son found him half-submerged in icy water, frozen to death. When a menacing stranger bangs on the door, claiming to be Einar Andersson's ex-business partner, Sig wrestles with the possibility that his father had cheated prospectors out of gold in his position as Assay Clerk. As Sig is held captive by the pistol-toting Gunther Wolff, the story flashes back, in short glimpses, to events leading up to this day. Sig relives the mystery surrounding the death of his beloved mother when he was very young and his father's lessons about God and respecting the power of a gun. The tension escalates as the teen calculates his chances of retrieving his father's hidden revolver or escaping from the bearlike intruder, all the while worrying about the return of his unsuspecting sister. i liked revolver because it was fast paced and really made you nervous every time you flip the page, great book

REVIEW BEDLAM
summary -When 16-year-old Lexi is forced to move in with her estranged mother, she thinks she will die of boredom. Yet midnight howlings and regular break-ins convince her otherwise. And when Lexi follows her mother's dog into the woods and discovers the abandoned asyum, it is only too apparent that there is something out there. Something real. Something very shocking indeed. This is the third thrilling teenage novel from award-winning author, Ally Kennen. overall it's a great book but i think it would be suitable for teenage girls because its written from a girls point of view but it was a great book with few wise cracks and a lot of mystery that will keep you guessing all the way
