The Lies we Tell Ourselves
"I liked it. The Civil Rights Movement and the segregation is something you don't learn much about in this country and I found it really interesting."- Ms Stacey "I thought that the language and the vocabulary was so shocking and powerful from the beginning was something that instantly engaged me. I feel very passionate about issues surrounding race and so I found it very emotive."- Ms Bostock "I thought it was really good because it showed how difficult it would of been to be them in that situation at that time."- Fay "I found that this book hit me hard emotionally wise, and it felt like I was there with them. I wondered whilst I was reading what it would be like to be in that situation. It was a very good book that I would read again."- Charlotte Average rating: 8.5/10
