The Wall
I kind of enjoyed 'the wall' although it was hard at first to get into it. This was only because not much was actually happeneing in the beginning till near the end of the book. Shanon Cambridge

first experience
So far from one club it seems quite interesting as you discuss points and opinions on books you like or dislike and trade books for others to read so im going to start reading THE WALL which looks and sounds interesting. by thomas ward

The Bunker Diary
The Bunker diary is my kind of book. The plot is amazing but the only thing I dislike is the ending. I was confused of why he ended it that way. If you read the book you would know how dissapointed I am with it. Back to the plot. SPOILER ALERT! The idea of people being kidnapped and put in a Nuclear Bunker is a good story for me (I think that's worrying) because it's interesting to think what will happen to them. Overall, one of the best books so far (competing with Ghost Hawk). -Charlie Connaughton

The Blood family
I love this book, it is so amazing !!! At the start I didn't quite understand what it was about because in the book different kinds of characters talk. Every chapter different character speeks but then I got used to it !!! Also the was a twist at the beggining the boy was nice and shy, in the middle he was bad and angry and at the end he was nice sweet again. I feel that this book might win the award or at least come the top three. -Victoria Kukla:)

The Bunker Diary
I have just started carnegie reading The Bunker Diary which may not sound like an interesting book but is actually very vivid and visual whilst being very sad. The main character, Linus, was very gripping and had a vast story to tell through his diary that makes you just sit down and read the book until you finish, and for me it was a truly brilliant book. -Danny Cooper

Liar and spy
I enjoyed liar and spy but it was quite simple and I personally prefer descriptive teenager books like all the truth thats in me. I think it is a possible contender but I was too impressed with it to be honest... -J

THE WALL
I really enjoyed the wall. Mainly because it was not girlish and it was interesting. I thought that its was a bit slow at the start but it got better as it carried on. In general it was a good book. Maybe even a contender for 3rd place. -J

Over the Easter holidays the two books that I had read was: 'Bunker Diaries' and 'Blood Families' Bunker Diaries - The Bunker Diaries was a good book and it was easy to get into reading it. I enjoyed reading this book. Blood Families - Blood Families was a good book as it was easy to get into it and I loved the way the point of view through out the book had changed between the characters with in the story. Shannon

The solid Wall
If you like terrorism, insurgency and military discipline then this is the book for you. This is a book based on a giant checkpoint and a boy who finds a tunnel to by pass the checkpoint the only problem this tunnel was created by an insurgency organisation. Olive groves are the hardest plants to look after and a giant target is rising. Anthony

Nightmare
This book was a great book to read. I got nightmares after I read this book. I finished this book in Essex and I am glad I didn't socialise. I cried after reading this book but I would sugest that if you have a soft heart, don't read it. Great book over all. Caitlin King.

blood family- best book by far
Blood family is such an awesome book it made me read for one whole day. Eddie is adopted after his real dad bullies his mum continously and a neighbor saw him peeping out of a boarded up flat. Personly this is the best book I have read by far as it is somehing i can relate to. The formating is brilliant as it is in all the characters views. It is in a diary view. Anthony

All the Truth thats in me
I really enjoyed this book because I found it really interesting and even though i couldnt relate to the charater I felt a lot of symapthy for Judy, who is the protagonist. She wrote in first person and poured her heart out to the love of her life silently in her head. Even though his father was an evil man Judy still loves his son, Lucas . i thought this book was realy well written and loved it. - Jade Boyce :3

The Bunker Diary
Once you read the begin chapter of this book, you would want to read more. This book doesn't drag on and it tells you his passed and the present. He tells the reader how he feels and what people smell like etc. loads of bad language in this book but I think its great>

Ghost Hawk
During the first we i had read Ghost Hawk. It was such a good book and i had enjoyed it. It was about a boy who lived in american-idian contry. Near the beginning four boys are sent to the woods to live alone for three months but when its time to return everything had changed.

The Bunker Diary by Kevin Brooks - Reviews
A truly brilliant book! For me, the whole time I was reading this book, I was hooked. This book had the effect on me that I felt like I could invisage what was happening, and feel empathy towards the characters. Linus, the main character, is a lovely character. He makes a friend called Jenny, who is nine years old. They become very close friends, and help eachother survive. Four other characters emerge throughout the book, called Fred, Anja, Bird and Russell. Although a bit sad and depressing, the book is excellent and I recommend it to anyone reading this. This is the first book I have read by Kevin Brooks, but here are a list of others that he has written: iBoy, Candy, Martyn Pig, Road Of The Dead, Lucas: A Story of Love and Hate. -Esme Palmer.

My favourite book so far.
My favourite book so far (out of the carnegie books obviously) is Ghost Hawk. I really like the plot and the time it is set in and all the descriptive writing in it. You can also learn a lot of things from it like the jobs back then, the American-Indian culture and how the tradings and tension went on between the Americans and Indians (American-Indians). -Charlie Connaughton

The Childs Elephant-- A great success
The Childs Elephant was a huge success for me. The brilliant and utterly awesone book to read. The contreast between images and writing was balanced, the images were so detailed I know what was going on out in the savannah. The main characters were Bat, Gulu, muku and of course meye the great beastly Elephant.
