Shire Oak Shadows
Walsall Wood,

Bunker Blog with Joe R
We have been reading a lot since the start of the Carnegie Shadowing project. I am Joe Riley and am going to tell you about the Bunker Diary. I am almost at the end of the Bunker Diary and I am really enjoying it. There is some really funny bits, sad bits and some quite disturbing bits. Even though the language isn't really suitable for younger children, it is a really good book, lets hope that the ending is as good as the rest of the book.

The Wall- Joe C
The Wall is a very interesting book. Apparently based on Israeli-Palestinian relationships around the Israeli settlements on the west bank, the Wall is quite a powerful book in terms of meaning. However, it does drag in certain places and is quite long-winded as well. I would not recommend this as an action book as it looked like on the cover, because it's not. But read this if you like books that are more about meaning than substance. That's what you'll get.
