Last year we had a massive cringe factor from our picture. Lets hope that this year's isn't as bad. Cringe factor to none. Let's hope so anyway. ~~~Abby, Deni , Louise :)

Finally!
I have finally finished my first book, and the review should be published quite soon. hopefully I can finish a few more books before this ends! Goodbye....~Deni <3

Last year's books were better than this year.
I have successfully finished all 8 of the Carnegie books and I have come to the conclusion that last year's books were more worth my time. The only decent book was Beck by Mal Peet. I feel that this year's books were not up to the standard of last year's. The books from this year seemed to be more exaggerated and the books didn't have plots or storylines that appealed to me at all. This is my opinion and I don't mind if you all disagree. ~Abby :)

Hi---
So I'm still currently reading "Beck". I'm not too sure whether to like it at this point, its starting to get really confusing and I really don't get the context of it. This will be my last blog of the week as no one else has blogged for awhile... So bye until next week ~Deni<3

Goodbye for today:) ~ Deni <3

WE ARE DONE 😓
We are now bringing this amazing experience to a close. We have committed a month to read all of the Carnegie books and only two of us completed them all. The books have been amazing and I hope next years books are just as good as these ones. After completing them all I found that the book 'One' by Sarah Crossan was my personal favourite and I am more than grateful to have been asked to do this challenge and I want to thank everyone in my group for being supportive to each other and pushing each other to complete the books. I want to thank Mrs. McLaughlin for all of this because without her I wouldn't be here writing this blog for you to read and enjoy. And thank you Mrs. Tait for helping us borrow the books and helping with the picture for our page. Also thanks George for recording our video. Although we are done we have all gained new friends, some more than others, and are happy that we followed the road here. I hope to talk to you guys in a years time so bye, bye for now and keep reading and being positive about books. ~Abby :0 :)

Almost there and Be positive
I am almost finished with the Carnegie books now. I am currently reading One by Sarah Crossan and I am enjoying every word. The past books have been exciting filling me with excited, envy and confusion. Sadly, I don't want to stop reading the Carnegie books and soon we will all be done for this year. It has been an amazing experience and I am hopeful for next year for the books to be as good as these ones. Our group has been told already that we will act as role models to the new year sevens when they come up to secondary school and it is really scary. I hope some others catch up and our group has sort of only got 6 readers now as Cory, the only boy in our group, has stopped Carnegie to go and help our school vote for the EU referendum. So far my favourite book has been The Lie Tree. I am so sad because tomorrow is the last day of Carnegie and I don't want to stop. Our amazing group has been ploughing through the books in the last few weeks and I am extremely proud of them all. Even Louise has still been reading with her broken wrist. If she is capable to still read with her broken wrist then we should all be able to read anyway. And as I said a few blog posts ago, be positive. ~ Bye Abby xxx:0

student interveiws
Hi I am now on my 3rd book and I know for sure that I am not going to read all of the Carnegie books because we don't have much time left. so far the books that I have read have all been good however One by Sarah crossan was my favourite. Some people have only read two books and some people have finished all of them already. Abby said " The lie tree is my favourite book because it's full of twists in the plot and I also like it because of the way it starts and the way it ends" Emily has only read three books and she said " My favourite book is there will be lies because I like how the plot is unpredictable and it's a mixture between fantasy and real life." Tomorrow is the last Carnegie day and so I hope you enjoyed this post Bye :) ~ Gemma x

Hi :)
So I have just finished my 6th book 😃, which was called 'The Rest of Us Just Live Here' by Patrick Ness. It was confusing in some places but overall it was a great read. I have just posted my review on it! We are all quite happy with our group video, which we have now finished! We had lots of fun practising for it, despite our many failed attempts. Thanks for reading, bye for now! 👍👌 ~Ellie x

Book number 6
Hi everyone. I am now on my 6th book and I think I am doing good. I am now exploring the vocabulary in all of the previous books and I am trying to keep hold of it all. The 6th book I am reading is called Fire Colour One and it is about a young girl who finds out about her father as he is dying. The book is really good so far and I am excited for the rest of the books to come and I hope I complete all 8 in time. Hopefully all of you readers still enjoy reading. So bye for now ~ Abby👍👌:)

I can read again!
Hello guys, I thought I'd just write this blog to tell you that because I'd broken my wrist I couldn't hold a book properly but now I can! 😃 Over this week the cast has become looser so I can now move my fingers and hold a book. 😂 I am now reading lots and lots to catch up. In this holiday though I might be getting a new cast so I might not be able to read again but I'm reading lots now just in case. 👍👌 Bye ~ Louise :)

Be positive
As some people know a lot of people hate to read but that doesn't mean us. At Carnegie we love reading and we set up our poll to give you as readers the chance to tell us what you think. As much as you don't like reading it is part of life so all I would say is be positive. 😀 Keep smiling and enjoying the books and when you're reading if you look like this 😓 then you're not reading right. Find a book you can engage with and try to enjoy it. If the book doesn't make you happy or enjoy it then just change it. Bye for now ~ Abby :)

group photo xx
Hello yesterday we took our group photo but it hasn't been uploaded yet. I feel like we don't have much time to read the rest of the books and i'm only on my second book. The book that I am reading at the moment is fire colour one and I actually sort of like it. It is about a girl called Iris and she has never met her father. She finds out that her father is dying and her mum step dad and herself go and visit him because Hannah (Iris' mother) wants her ex husbands paintings. I don't want to say too much just in case I give it away but read it because it is a fantastic book. One by Sarah Crossan is still my favourite book so far and I think most of the girls in my group agree with me . Bye ~ Gemma x :)

Review no.2
Hey honey honey. All of us have sent our teacher, Mrs McLaughlin,a review or two but she can not for some reason or another accept them for the website. It is kind of annoying because we have a very bland web page and the reviews are very personal to our views and we want people to read them. So if you read this Ms can you try to accept them please. Bye from ~ Abby, Louise, Gemma, Emily, Deni , cory and Ellie :)

I'm hoping to read even more and I hope I enjoy every single book I read.......~GoodBye~ Deni :-)

Hello
Hi it is a new week and we are all still reading I (Emily) Am on my third book and Gemma is reading her second one. The books that we have to read are actually interesting as I (Gemma) thought I would find them boring because I didn't really know what books I liked until now. I sort of like books that are fictional but also biographies and I found that out when I read One. One was also my (Emily's) favourite because I felt like I could really bond with the character who was telling the story. Thank you for reading our blog we will up date you tomorrow bye x ~ Emily & Gemma ;0

Guess whos back
Hi guys. Me and Louise are back and ready for Carnegie as ever. But unfortunately Louise isn't as prepared as normal. There is something different about her. Her arm is in plaster cast because she was tripped up in PE! As much as she is coping she has struggles about holding her book to read. Hope she is better soon ~Abby :)

4th book down the lies we tell ourselves
I have just finished my fourth book the lies we tell ourselves by Robin Tally. It is a brilliant book that I think everyone one should read. Not give any spoilers no matter how much I want to. Next book I'm to read is there will be lies by Nick Lane and from what Deni is saying it should be a good book. Bye, Cory :-)

Hey! :)
So, I have just finished the book 'One' by Sarah Crossan! It was an amazing book, the layout is very unique and it is very gripping; I couldn't put it down! Few are starting to read their second books now already, which is brilliant. I hope everyone is having a great time in our reading sessions! I certainly am, they are fun and I can see why it has won many awards. ~Ellie :)

Two books down.
I have just finished my first two books. I have read the ghosts of heaven and fire colour one both are good books that captivate the reader although the ghosts of heaven may confuse you and would recommend reading it slowly as the intro and storyline are very confusing. Fire colour one is also a very interesting book with a good plot and it will warm your heart. I would tell you guys more about it but I don't want them accusing me of giving away a spoiler or ruining a book like what happened to one of our friends last year least he unleash the spoiler police on me if he looks at my post. ~Cory:-)

Hello!
At the moment I am reading Fire Colour One by Jenny Valentine. I am really enjoying it and it is full of different emotions. I am looking forward to finding out what will happen next! Our group is starting to post reviews, as they are finishing their books. I hope I will be able to post mine soon too! Bye! ~ Emily xx

'One' By Sarah Crossan
Hi, so I just wanted to post a blog to say that I just finished my book called 'One'! Tonight I was really crying in my bed with this book. The ending is just overwhelming and very emotional. I suppose that you get into a book so much that you feel the emotions of characters and that's what I did. Seriously, everyone needs to read it! You will not be disappointed. So, tomorrow I shall be choosing my new book! This has got to be one of my favourite books of all time. It was amazing. I suppose i'll post when I get my new book tomorrow. Bye x ~Louise :)

~ Hello!
Hello! So, this is our first blog post. Right now, our group is working very hard at reading and everybody seems to be enjoying their books. At the moment, I am reading ' One' by Sarah Crossan. The way it is set out is very clever because it makes you feel more comfortable instead of daunting on the masses of words on the page. We meet up everyday at school and so far the meetings seem to be going well. We are really just investigating this website so we don't know whether i'm going to be the permanent blogger or not. But for now let's just say hello. Our group are reading some different books from each other but my favourite so far is 'One'. I feel quite sorry for the main characters of the book and it is quite touching if you are a sensitive person. I do like a good cry over a book though. Everyone is working very hard as I said. Nobody can beat a good bit of reading on a spring/summers day! Bye x ~ Louise :)
