More Than This
The book I read was ‘More ThanThis’by Patrick Ness. In my opinion I think Ness has written it really well as he has used flashbacks to make us understand more. I liked the dialogues between Sethand Gudmund as it tells us more which makes it easier to understand and that is why I think Ness has written it really well; this gives us a better view of the narrative perspective of the book. It was a really engaging book that left cliff hangers at the end of the chapters which urged us to read on more. It is quite a different book, I have not read books like this so this was quite new and I enjoyed it. The theme of this book is basically death and afterlife; there is more to death. I actually learnt this fact by reading this amazing, intriguing and wonderful book. However, this book would be aimed at people over the age of fourteen because of the language in the book. The best part I liked was the start as it was just so fascinating I kept reading more. However, around the middle of part one it was starting to get less engaging as itwas just talking about what he did day after day in what Seth thought Hell. A soon as it got to the end of part one and from then, it started to get really interesting as it was starting to get to the point. The best bit I like was that I found out that Seth was not the only one in this new world, therewas someone else. The only improvement I would say to this book would be to get to the point as I like books that get to the book. Overall I would give this book four stars out of five.
