It all fits
During our final meeting of the term we talked about the grand Carnegie event. The group hope it will happen again next year but sadly things will be different, as no Alice or Miss De'Ath. Hopefully Calum and others will take the group on though. Miss De'Ath gave out a number of prizes, including one for a tagline competition to Emma K. Miss De'Ath also promised to publisise the winner of the Carnegie asap.

Inter school event 2016
Mrs Adams hosted this event on the 16th of June. 4 secondary schools took part in the big quiz. As always pupils were put into groups, with other from different schools. Calum led a team, which included Emma and Mrs Mundie. This team did fantastically well and won the quiz. All pupils showed a great knowledge of the Carnegie books. It was a blast. a big thank you should go to Mrs Adams for her fantastic preperations too.

Wonders of writing
The group discussed the books shortlisted and why they enjoyed reading them. Emma K won the review prize. Alice came back after her last exam. Sadly that'll be her last book club, as she's know finished at Eastwood. Mrs Mundie is the Librarian who'll be taking over from Miss De'Ath met the group and was very impressed by their high level of interest.

Reading for the Event
Miss De'Ath went over the information about the Carnegie event on the 16th of June and handed out letters. Emma and Amelia wrote a review each and we looked at more information about an author. This should be helpful when we come to doin the quiz. Mr O'Rorke came to take another photo and hopefully Miss De'Ath wqill soon upload it onto the site.
