Chapel-en-le-Frith High School
High Peak,

Which book would you recommend next?
I have read Beck and The Stars at Oktober Bend. Both of these are fantastic but quite harrowing stories that I have really enjoyed reading. Which book would anyone recommend next?

All the truth that's in me
I have just finished BLOOD FAMILY and thought I'd give ALL THE TRUTH THAT'S IN ME a go next. I know most people who have read it said it was great, but I wondered if anyone didn't like it and why? Thanks.

Carnegie 2014
I thought most of the books this year seemed very depressing , and I was proved right with blood family. However, I loved it! I won't ramble on here, that's what my review is for.

MIDWINTERBLOOD
I have just finished Midwinterblood an d i think it is the most interesting book i have ever read. This is because it was a very different type of book. I know someone from Hope Valley who said it was the best book they had ever read. I have not heard very much about Midwinterblood from people in this school. what did people think of it?????????

Suggestions posted by Penny
If anyone is wondering which book to read next, then I reccomend 'A Greyhound of a Girl', especially if you enjoy a short story with an interesting style of writing. At the moment I am reading 'wonder'. It is really easy to get into. I just hope it will last me the Easter holidays as I am a very fast reader!!! I do not know what to read next so if anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful!!! By the way, did anyone not like 'wonder', and why??????

A Greyhound of a Girl by RODDY DOYLE, by Penny
I was wondering if anyone from our group did not like the book because lots of people from other schools have posted reviews saying that they disliked the book. I personally loved it, but it is obvious that some people enjoy different types of book to me!!! At the start Mary expresses a very strong need not to be like her brothers,so it seems to me that there is something about them that the author is not telling you. However, there was no more about her brothers at the end of the end of the story, so i might be wrong!
