5 books down...
3 to go. Well 2.5 really as I'm halfway through Buffalo Soldier. My favourite so far? More Than This (not just because Roxy Music are playing in my head as I read). Buffalo Soldier has it's own soundtrack too - perhaps all books should have their own song?

Getting ready for the shortlist.....
In advance of the official shortlist next week we decided to vote for our favourites. The top two were easily A Monster Calls and Killing Honour but agreeing the rest of the list involved lots of discussion!

Holiday reading
I'm not sure my children approve but I have read 3 of the shortlist so far this Easter! I was absolutely blown away by "Monsters of Men" - I haven't read the first two books in the series so wasn't sure I would understand the plot - all I can say is WOW! Fantastic writing, superb plot, it even brought a tear to my eye... Mrs T.
