Fleetwood High School

Salt to the Sea
It takes a while to get into the book but when you do it's really hooking. At first it's really slow paced but towards the end it's really tense and fast pace. It taught me a lot about WW2. SPOILER!!! You will need tissues.

The Smell of Other People's Houses
We really enjoyed this book because it was very hooking and entertaining. I love the plot and I love how the different characters stories were cleverly intertwined. I feel like readers really get to know the characters and their back rounds.

We haven't attempted to read Railhead as the cover didn't appeal to us because it looks as if it is aimed more towards boys. It looks like a science-fiction book and that didn't interest us.

Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth.
Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth is, in my opinion, a childish book. It isn't very interesting for older pupils and the cover resembles a comic or graphic novel. The cover doesn't really relate to the text and storyline. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Bone Sparrow
Bone Sparrow is a very emotional book and leaves you wanting to find out about what is going to happen to them next. It is quite similar The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, but it is perhaps for an older reader.

Wolf Hollow (and biscuits)
We are writing a review on Wolf Hollow and eating brownie biscuits. Wolf Hollow is so far most of our groups favourite book because it is full of mystery and leaves you wanting to read more. SPOILER ALERT: Buy lots of tissues before you read this book.
