Christ the King Catholic Maths & Computing College
Preston,

New start
First meeting of the Carnegie Club coincided with the school house tug of war competition... consequently not many of our students were here. Should be better next week.

PARTY!!!
14 people came to our long awaited party- Some of us have been left with a IMPRESSION THAT WILL NEVER LEAVE. We are planning to get `The Ask and The Asking`, a sequal to `The Knife of Never Letting Go`. We are really intrested in doing this again next year.

What!
Nobody in our group thought That Bog Child by Siobhan Dowd whould win- we thought it was an okay book but we thought it was too dark- `The Knife of Never Letting Go` ` Cosmic` or ` The Ostrich Boys` was more likely to win...

We're up and running folks!!!
This is the first time I have shadowed the Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals and I'm really enjoying it. I've only read two books so far but am hoping to catch up over half term (they were both really good!). Having a real live book illustrator in to school to talk to us about how she works on her illustrations helped us to look differently at the illustrations in the KGM books. What a chellenge, trying to choose the best!
