Allfarthing School
London,

HARRIS THE HARE JUMPS FOR THE SKY
We were all really excited as Thursday D-Day approached and the class felt that Little Boat would safely sail home with the prize...so imagine our shock when we discovered that Catherine Rayner had won the prestigious medal. It's a great book - there is no denying it - but we were looking for originality and we just didn't feel Catherine gave us that. It's a safe winner.

We're Shadowing!!
The KG books are in. We've just started to read them. It's too early to compare but we're all pleased with the variety - something for everyone here. Oliver Jeffers seems popular as does Thomas Docherty's Little Boat. Everyone seemed keen to read The Savage. I love the story of The Snow Goose but don't know if the class are going to fall for the moody pictures. We're still trying to work out Varmints!
