Godolphin and Latymer School
London,

So - time for reading and maybe a film?
We plan to give lower school a chance to film themselves in the library - reading, talking about the books and generally holding forth about how much they enjoy reading. It's great to have time to focus on reading in the summer term - we're all looking forward to the sunny weather and a chance to sit outside in the library garden. Perfect! So far Cuckoo Song is the most regularly requested book to read but watch this space...

So much to read, so little time...
Well, our Year 7s have had their first look at the shortlisted titles. We're looking at at the covers, the blurbs and the initial chapters of the books and now we need to do some serious reading... We're not going to include "When Mr Dog..." in our shadowing just because the language doesn't feel right for 11 year olds, but the rest should make for some interesting reading and discussions.
