It all begins again!
We're very excited to be beginning this year's Shadowing groups. Year 8 and 9 Book Club met at lunchtime today, and we had a lively talk about the merits of Blood Family.
Year 7 Reading Club have spent their time today posting reviews, telling each other about what they have been reading, drawing Manga, and reading Carnegie books. What a great way to end the school day!

My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece Acrostic Poem (Read the 1st Letter of every sentance)
My Sister lives on the Mantelpiece
Ashes in an urn
No-one loves me, no-one cares
The reason will make your stomach turn
Everyone stares at me, like I'm a freak
Love isn't in my heart
Please someone help us, please do care
If you will, you'll play a part
Even you the one reading this
Can help us, one little bit
Everyone, please? Is anyone out there?

This week -reviews!
My Name is Mina is a fantsatic book about a shy young girl who is called weird and crazy and is even taken to a mental home! In my opinion, she is an incredibly open person with a strong passion for writing and birds, in particular skylarks. It makes me eager to read Skellig.[Dina]
I read 'My sister lives on the mantelpiece.' It has a very sad story. Jamie's sister, Rose, was killed in a terrorist attack and his mum has gone off with another man. His Dad drinks, and at his new school he befriends a Muslim, Sunya. If his Dad found out, he would be in deep trouble, because Muslims killed Rose. Will he find out? Read and vote! [Amelia]
