After the meeting...
We had a great discussion about 'After The Fire', so thank you to all who participated. We think that this book is definitely a contender for the medal! This Friday, we will be looking at 'Saint Death'... I am halfway through and look forward to hearing your views. See you then.

Wed Wabbit Wules!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Wed Wabbit discussion on Friday. I think we can sum up by saying that those of us who have read the book enjoyed it - even the 'silly' verse - and those that haven't have been encouraged to give it a go! This Friday, the focus will be on 'After The Fire' (a favourite of mine...but don't let me sway you). As always, I look forward to your contributions.

The Inaugural Meeting- Rook
Today we met for our first proper meeting after the launch party. There was plenty of biscuits, heated discussion and conversation over our book of the week, Rook. Although I personally didn't enjoy it many others did and had many positive comments. Sophie E :)

Carnegie Launch Party
Thank you to everyone who came along to the launch party yesterday (22nd March). It was great to meet and see so many keen readers. It is encouraging to see you so enthused about reading the eight books on the Carnegie shortlist. Keep on reading over the Easter holidays and don't forget that you can visit the library to borrow more Carnegie books! Our next meeting will take place on the first Friday after the holidays - 20th April. Be prepared to share your thoughts on what you've read so far. Our aim is to look at Anthony McGowan's 'Rook'. I'm currently half way through 'After The Fire'. I am really enjoying it so far; it's definitely a page-turner... See you soon

The fifth meeting :)
25th May 2016 - Today we had our fifth Carngegie Medal meeting. We briefly discussed our previous books and reviewed their strengths and weaknesses. However we mainly updated our group page. Everyone posted a review, of their most recent book, on the page, and skimmed through looking for any redundancies. We planned ahead and decided to read as many books as possible and some of us took home two books over half term. Our group are enjoying this shadowing course and are unsure of who is going to win!
