Chobham Academy Book Group
40 Cheering lane, London

We're off!!!
Our new group of eager readers has met for the first time and taken their books away to start reading. An early discussion of the covers and blurbs hints at two strong favourites in our group but it's early days so opinions might change. Looking forward to working with this group!

Lighs! Camera! Action!
Now that the big decision of which book we are going to champion has been made, it is time to think about the nature of our presentation. Should it be a powerpoint? A song? Perhaps even a dance? After much debate the format has been decided and planning has commenced. There is much excitement from our readers and they are filled with enthusiasm at showing just how passionate they are about their book.

Debate and Discussion
Today's meeting included a heated discussion about the merits of More than this versus Tinder, with both books being heavily championed by their respective supporters. Lots of ideas about the best way to present the books and a few nerves too. Everyone is enjoying reading the books, some of which they would not have read if not for this programme!

First Books finished
5 days in and two readers have already finished their first books. Tinder and More than This have both proved unputdownable garnering good reviews from the readers. Our reading group is starting to work well together, with the readers beginning to exchange ideas and get to know one another. They are all enthusiastic about the books and the group,.
