Ghost Hawk
Ghost Hawk is about two boys living in America around the time that English settlers first arrived there. At the start of the book Little Hawk is about to start his coming of age ritual where he must spend the winter on his own. Later in the book we meet John, who is a young English boy, and his connection with Hawk. This is one of my favourite books I have ever read, the way the writer incorporates facts with fiction puts this book next to Paul Dowswell in facts and Michelle Paver’s Wolf Brother for fiction. This book in my opinion is definitely 10/10.

The Wall
Joshua lives in a Amarias, a place divided by an 8 meter high wall with his Horrible Step Father who believes that the other side are dangerous terrorists .When Joshua’s ball goes over the “Wall” his life will never be the same again. The Wall is based on the Palestinian – Israeli border but the town Amarias is fictional. This book is one of my favourites to win; I give it an 8.5/10
