A members thoughts on the link between terrorism and religion
In what ways might religion been seen to lead to terrorism? Terrorism is linked to religion as most terrorists claim they are of a major religion to get more publicity as humans are quick to be stereotypical. This helps them as people will become scared as there are millions of Muslims that out number of people in Russia more than 2 to 1. I summarise claiming they are a big religion they hope to cause terror to none Muslims and try to recruit more people with propaganda ,But on the other hand extremism can be considered as a religion as extremism itself. If you explore even further you will find out that most terrorists are brought up that way or it is forced on to them {For instance the Nazis forced their beliefs on to the countries they invaded ,another example was the Incas but they did allow them to keep old religions as well} One act of terrorism that is associated with religion a lot is the 9/11 attacks by 4 suicide bomber. Al-Qaeda terrorist were very annoyed with the Americans for helping the Persians in the gulf war and sadly they decided to take physical action against America trying to make them surrender or cower and run away retreating leaving their support in scraps. But their escapade brought whiplash as they just encourage the Americans to carry on what they were doing. The fact it was suicide bombing proves how dedicated the group to their own religion as they were willing to give their own lives and betray their country to do horrible things to them[two of the suicide bombers were trained at a aeronautic school in America] just because of their religion. So if you think about it from Al-Qaeda point of view you can see that religion is to blame for terrorism but not all religion is to blame for terrorism as it is only a small minority of religions that lead to terrorism as if everyone thought the same way Poland would be German now. Most of terrorism is bad but small aspects of it are good as the amazing feats terrorism can create just by thinking on the same line if normal people could capture that power than humanity might be able to return to the Garden of Eden once again. But we don’t really know if living peacefully inside a big group it might just be tyrantity and dictatorship. If we could take a leaf out of Hitler’s book and harness Hitler’s speaking power in a way to abolish violence in a way that so that everyone wants it and it is not forced upon them. In summary terrorism is very much linked to religion but the terror of terrorism despite its horror and badness there is a bit of awe in the power that extremists groups have in gathering followers, achieving goals and causing worldwide effects. Even though 9/11 happened nearly 15 years ago terrorism still remains a large threat to security as the people are in tight build communities where people work together well and on the same mind set. Together the team work they have create is enough to bring down continents which brings fear internationally

a newspaper article
European governments are in fear Russia’s new leader, Lenin (pictured right). Party leader of the Bolsheviks, he has recently overthrown the Tsar and today we will discuss whether or not Lenin is a threat to Europe. Lenin has managed to make Russia an antimonarchist country and if he opposes monarchy, then it could lead to fears that he shall try to destroy other nations such as us, Turkey, Spain and Greece. Not only this but even if we exile him, he will work his way back in to power as he did when he created the “spark”, a revolutionary newspaper that lead to the tsar’s demise. It is not just him that is a threat, not only is his family as bad as he was (His brother was executed in March 1887 for trying to assassinate the Tsar) He was exiled to Siberia, but he is also a people person as the majority of Russia are behind him and he was even popular before the revolt. In conclusion, Lenin is great for Russia, as he has united the people of the largest nation on earth once again. However, he poses a great threat to the likes of us. Us Europeans. Us Brits. Lenin is, unfortunately, and, potentially fatally, for us, an anti-monarchist. Russia is the largest nation on earth, with 184.6 million citizens. This is a huge number compared to our mere 38.5 million citizens. Should Lenin attack, we really don’t stand a chance. We are fighting a Goddamn war for Christ’s sake! Have you never heard of The Somme?!? We are already fighting the Germans. We cannot cope with more conflict. Our population is declining each and every day. We cannot have this now. He is dangerous. This is a non effective opening
A piece of writing with an opening hook. Rapture The top of my lip tingled in the centre, causing an unitchable burden. I tried to lick it off and the pain did not subside. As my tongue slid over my teeth like an otter breaking over a dam. I winced. That was a mistake. The spider web of dirt, muck, saliva and an unknown liquid tickled and felt like was sand papering the back of my throat whilst the spider simultaneously down my throat and up to my uvula. It hurt. The whole process took one second; still, it was enough to distract me. I took a swig from my “water”. The mucus like substance wobbled down my throat like jelly and provided a relief from my ailment, momentarily. The chancellor droned on about how our “haven” was brilliant for winning “the most beautiful city in the UK” for the tenth time in a row, post incident. Water seemed to writhe up my throat as my surprise and dark humour passed my mind. Smog filled the air in varying dense patches, like the kind of level of ability a joint patch work a class of year 1’s would produce. The ground was ………… hard to explain, Imagine what a polar ice cap would of looked like when in spring, random pieces of ice in weird shapes floating around with vast amount of ocean in-between. Now imagine the ice is concrete and the water dirt. Now dowse it in a liquid: 10% sewage; 30% rotten flesh%; 40% water (or whatever it is.) and the last 20% part of the devil’s rancorous “soul”. Buildings are demolished like a cake would be after they had been comically taken bites out of and then trampled on by buffaloes in an earthquake. I pondered on what my father would say about these blasphemous thoughts. Thank goodness they couldn’t read my mind. I looked at my watch. It was 3:28 pm. That’s when the ceiling collapsed.

My view on Moxie
Moxie In it to win it for unknown reasons. Moxie is conniving, manipulative, cunning and mean the majority of the time but comes across as innocent and one of the nicest people in the competition. no one realises her true personality (bar rowan and izzi); not even her. Most people believe she is extremely kind. She is very original and hard to explain. She is athletic, artistic and a good all-rounder. She is also contradictorily nice and kind and has the most friends out of anyone. She is never vain. Plot summary Moxie is second to arrive at the island - Bringing excessive baggage with her. Physical and emotional I think she is a brilliant character and the fact she does this to help pay for her mothers operation is heartwarming. I still prefer Rowan. Cameron Cassidy
