Birchwood,

CODE NAME VERITY by Josh Rawling
the first thing that put me off was the front cover, my advice is to ADD SOME COLOUR! The second thing that REALLY put me off was the setting into PARAGRAPHS! But i liked the type of writing THANK YOU.The blurb was pretty good and the opening was REALLY good. LOL. thanks Elizabeth Wein ;)

The Weight of Water By C.Gleave
I thought the book was quite good because it was a story put into a poem wich was put into scenes and parts. The book was something new, something different, something I thought was interesting and clever. It was confusing and interesting at times. The writer should have done a bit better on the orgornising part on the text but overall the book was fine.<3 <3 ;0 :) I rated it 45 /60 by Chelsy Chatterbox Gleave

Weight of Water Title
The title was mentioned at one point in the book but I feel that there are many better titles that would be better off for this book. It didn't really suit the book. It was an emotional book and I thought the title could have been better. By Emma Robinson. (THE BOOK WAS GOOD THOUGH SO IF YOU GET THE CHANCE, READ IT!

Code Name Verity review by George Dunbar.
I have only just started reading this book but i find it absolutely terrible! Itt keeps repeating itself and therefore quite confusing and annoying. Overall (so far) i rate this book 1/10 Was it really that bad? -

Weight of Water blurb
The blurb on weight of water attracted me to the book. It was short and snappy and didn't give anything away unlike most books. It is described as a very emotional book, which is exactly what this is! By Emma Robinson.

Maggot Moon Text
Reading Maggot Moon was brilliant for me, but for the other people reading it were complaining that the book is too complicated and very hard to read. Maggot Moon can get very complicated very quickly if you skip even a couple of words or pages because every page and word tells you exactly what's going on. To me the book was very easy to read, yes there was a few bits where I didn't quite know what was going on, but if you then carry on reading there are sneaky bits and get introduced to you later so then everything starts to make sense to you. If you ever read Maggot Moon, make sure that you always read it properly and don't speed read otherwise you will find yourself lost in the text. Follow this advice and you will find the book one of the best books you've read in a very long time. By Brandon Spiers.

Greyhound of a girl opening
Good, yet there are some pointless parts, for example, when ava isn't mentioned again in the whole story...

Greyhound of a girl front cover.
The front cover of the book was attractive and catches your eye. Roddy Doyle has changed his front cover recently and for a good reason. His new cover is a bright yellow and stands out against all the other books. This is why I chose the book to read. The best bit was when there was humor in it xx funny creative and emotional okay dokeyBy Emma Robinson x

Blurb of code name Verity
Short snappy sentences with a good twist. It shows that there is tense in the book and would be a good detective read. Perfect for someone with an imagination!!!! GOOD LUCK!

FArTHER - SPOLIERRRSSS! No likey no ready :)
This book was imaginative and depended on a bit of inferance into the words. The ideas put across can be complex and simple depending on how you want to take it. The artwork is very interesting and a mix between photographs and painting which is different and I found it interesting. I thought that although the artwork was simple, it was also emotional and in some ways quite hard-hitting. The emotions portrayed in the faces of the characters were very deep. I think the idea of the dream is very common in people who are free to think. The idea of flying implies that the father in the story wanted to get away from something or wanted true freedom. Occasionally he would get obsessed with that dream and forget who his son was, but then he had occasions where he would forget about his dream and earthly attatchments would keep him happy and occupied. The title itself is a play on words (according to my inference haha) and probably relates to the idea of getting 'further' away with the idea of flying. All in all it was an interesting read and I have to wrap it up, so READ IT! Love Allen xxx

Prisoner of the Inquisition
When I picked up the book 'Prisoner of the Inquistion'. I thought the cover of the book was very interesting. The colours were very rich and the mix of colours and the images link back to the main plot. The story starts off steady and evenly paced. The characters that are introduced are very basic and they are perfect characters to be developed throughout the plot. For the actual storyline in the first few chapters is quite plain and easy to understand. Towards the middle of the book the characters are more developed and it is a lot more interesting to read :D:D:D:D By the end, I had my share of happiness and tears but it is brilliantly written and it has a great storyline Its a great read for everyone :D:D:D Now to read my next book the white crow :D:D

The Brides Farewell
When I read the blurb of 'The Brides Farewell' I thought it would be quite an exciting book to read! I read the first couple of chapters and began to wonder whether I actually wanted to continue reading it. My friend from Birchwood's book club told me what she thought about a different book, 'Prisoner of the Inquisition'. She informed me that it is a great book and an amazing read! She has blogged about it and I made the decision to stop reading The Brides Farewell and to start reading Prisoner of the Inquisition. I am going to take this book on holiday and i will blog once i have finished it!! Gracieeeeee B-)
