Polesworth Page Turners
Nr. Tamworth,
Group status: Friday meeting done!
We are a small group of very keen readers and are all regular users of our School Library. Most of us took part in our local Warwickshire Book Award earlier this year and enjoyed it very much. The group are doing really well reading the shortlist and enjoying the variety this year. Some people have read them all already! We are ready for some friendly arguments about our winner soon.

Staffordshire,
Do you think the books this year appeal more to older readers?

No; I think if you like reading, it doesn't matter what age range the book are.
Yes; it puts me off having to read books that are really too old or too difficult for me.
Don't care; I'll read anything and everything!

Title: Skellig
Author: David Almond
Winning Year: 1998

Still a favourite at School after all this time. There has been renewed interest in Skellig since the publication of My Name is Mina in 2011, bringing a whole new group of readers to carry on and read this modern classic!
