Group status: We're reading and reviewing, and loving every minute!
Our group: the Desert Shadowers, is open to everyone in Y7-Y10 who can easily read a book in 5 days (or less!). We have also invited the best readers of Y6 to join us this year. We will be trying to read as many of the 8 shortlisted books as possible before 19th June, when the prize is awarded. Before then we'll evaluate and review the books we've read and vote together on which book we think should win the 2013 Carnegie Medal. It's a lot of reading in a short space of time, so we will be supporting each other in our after-school club, held on Mondays, in the library. Even if you only manage to read one book from the shortlist, please ask Mrs. Farquhar for an evaluation form. We want EVERYONE to feel part of our Shadowing group, and to help us pick the most worthy winner. Mrs. Farquhar April 2013
