Group status: we're alive

Some of the less shy ones

This is the first year we have judged the Carnegie medal. A growing group of Year 7 and 8 and 10 are buzzing with news and views of the latest book that they have read. I haven't seen a Carnegie book for days: as soon as they are returned they go out again. They are certainly challenged by the titles and the shortlist is opening up a whole new reading experience that they have not considered before. GREAT!
