Group status: Active

The Learning Hub is where the library can be found at Oaklands and it is a busy, well used place. We have been Shadowing the Carnegie Medal for about eight years. This year Yrs 7, 8, and 9s are shadowing. We also have a Carnegie Club, which is mainly a reading group but we have had other activities like a quiz and trips to see both parts of Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' at the National Theatre. The visit to the second part was especially memorable as we came out of the theatre in to a raging blizzard with thunder & lightning rolling up the Thames! I will be looking after the group until Holly Cook returns. The group is organised by Pauline Hibbert (Librarian) and Sarah Lawless (Learning Hub Manager)
