Littlehampton Academy Carnegie Crazies
Littlehampton,
Group status: we're loving the books and meeting together on Wednesday lunch times

Our group includes 20 students from years 7 to 10. Everyone is welcome to join the group and we have set up lunchtime meetings to discuss the books we are reading. Participating students will write short reviews of the books which will be converted into shelf-edge labels to promote the books on the library shelves. During June the students who have read 4 or 5 books and written reviews for our website & labels will take part in our Carnegie & Kate Greenaway Award Judging Panel lunch. On June 23rd everyone will be meeting in the library to discover the announcement of the WINNERS! We will also have a children's book illustrator coming to run a workshop and join us for the lunch. Entants to our Greenaway competition will design their own alternate cover for their favourite shortlisted book and these will be displayed in the library. The winning three pictures will be voted for by students.
