Bishop Vesey's Grammar School
Sutton Coldfield,
Group status: We think this year's shortlist is the best ever. So many great books and we all have our favourite. It is going to be really difficult to come up with a group favourite.

The RAW Readers

We are a group of dashing young men and we enjoy reading all types of books. We meet in the library every Wednesday lunchtime and devour books (and our lunches). Some of us have been shadowing the Carnegie Medal for a number of years. Earlier this month we were pleased to meet Patrick Ness who won the medal two years ago for the extraordinary A Monster Calls. Currently our favourite book on the shortlist is Blood Family. Can the excellent Anne Fine become the first author to win the Carnegie Medal 3 times? Most of the group hope so.
