Group status: This is the third year that Mrs Robinson has formed the Carnegie shadowing group at Stokesley School. So far we have 18 readers and are all enjoying the books. Mrs Robinson and Mrs Hastie are also reading them. Good luck to the writers.
We have a really keen group this year - 18 readers who are beavering away to get through all the books. Some students have read nearly all the books now. Well done to them. Sometimes we get a chocolate when we exchange our book. This makes it more fun. Can't wai til we have our party when the winner is announced.

Title: Zoo
Illustrator: Anthony Browne
Winning Year: 1992

Two brothers and their parents spend a day at the zoo, looking at the animals in the cages - or is it that the animals are watching the visitors? This book is a teasing examination of the relationship between man and animals, and the role of zoos.
