This is a great book to help raise awareness about refugees and migrants. The pictures make great use of colour, for example making everything bright when the family feels welcome and hopeful and making everything dark when they are worried or sad. I really like the slopes and blocks of colour used. It has lots of meaning and it really gives a sense of what the refugees are feeling.
I recommend this book to children 6+ because it has hard themes for younger children but the story is easy to understand.
