The Bone Sparrow

I loved this book! It was very descriptive and easy to picture the characters and setting. It was written through Subhi, the main characters, eyes so we saw everything from his point of view. I liked this style and how he described everything but sometimes it was hard to work out what was real. The book was partly based on truth which made it more gripping and described well how harsh detention camps are. It was quite hard hitting because of how people are treated and for no reason especially children like Subhi. I think it was a very important subject to write about which kind of tells you about how people are treated in the real world. However the ending was quite disapointing as it didnt explain very well what happened after so I was left with some questions. Dispite this i still really enjoyed reading this book.
