After the Fire
I really enjoyed this story, it's a really engaging tale told from the point of view of Moonbeam who has grown up in an isolated American cult. We start at the end of the major action (the FBI have stormed the community & surviving children have been taken away to a closed hospital) but instead of ruining the story it helps the reader go on a journey with Moonbeam. The only downfall of this story is that there are a number of peripheral characters I would have love to have had more time with - Luke & Honey both fall into this category, and I was left wanting more from both of them.
Not your usual teen drama - there's no romance just a tale about survival against the odds. A good holiday read but one that will probably be forgotten after you return from the beach.
