Beyond the Bright Sea

This book was lovely. It was a great story that made you sad yet it wasn't a sadness that made you put the book down. It shows how to fight through discrimination and although some of it I felt was slightly far fetched, I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to others. The characters were enjoyable and the writing style made me feel as if I was with them along their troubles and adventures. I also like the book because even though the main character was put in some very tough situations she never got truly injured which made the book slightly happier and I enjoyed this theme. My favourite Carnegie book so far.
