After the Fire
After The Fire is a novel about a cult in America which has been set alight. The book is about a girl called Moonbeam and every chapter is either titled 'Before' or 'After', meaning before or after the fire. Throughout the book, when the chapter is called 'After', she is in hospital. You learn about how, when someone loves something so much, it can take over them completely.
I enjoyed this book because it was intriguing and I've never read something so strange and gripping before. I would recommend this book to anyone aged 11+ because of the strong language which is used multiple times and some of things that happen younger children might not understand and it may confuse them. I would definitely read this novel again and I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars.
