Emily, Carnegie and Cake

Although I enjoyed this book, I don't feel like there was much of a plot, and it was a very easy read with a very predictable ending. I think it was probably aimed at a young but mature age group (maybe 12-13) as it was a short book and the writing was very big, although there was quite a bit of swearing in it. It wasn't really about a rook, even though this was its title, but i think the bird was supposed to be a running background theme all the way through.
