Ayza, Swanshurst School

Salt to the Sea

This book was one of the rare pieces of literature that actually hooked me on from the first page and refused to let go until I read the last sentence.
The truth is that I still can't move on from this book, because it talked about an extremely serious event in history that most people don't even know about, let alone acknowledge how it directly and indirectly affected thousands of innocent people. Innocent people who had committed no wrong other than being at the wrong place at the wrong time, stuck in between opposing sides of a raging war.
The outcome? A fantastic novel that talks abut some not so fantastic happenings in history; that still somehow manage to come together to create a legendary masterpiece.
All in all, you will be completely and utterly shook by the end of this novel. This is a book that is sure to make you question humanity and the mechanics of the human brain. Enjoy!
