Tabbie, King James's Royal Readers
Salt to the Sea
Incredible. Intriguing. Heart-wrenching. Truthful. Real. Emotional.
This book is one of the most truthful and real feeling books I have ever read. This makes it all the more heart-crushing.
I hated Alfred as he only ever thought of himself and didn't consider what his actions may do to others. I was also very angry when he revealed what he had done to Hannelore as he had just doomed the person he claimed to 'love.'
My favourite characters were Joana and Emilia because they seemed to be the most honest characters, who did what they did mostly to help others rather than themselves. What happened to Emilia was incredible and sad and that made what happened to Halinka so beautiful and bittersweet.
