Wolf Hollow

This book is set back in World War 2 with the main character of Annabelle - a twelve year old girl who lives with her grandparents, parents, her aunt Lily, and her brothers, James and Henry. They are living on a farm in the hills above the town, Wolf Hollow. A man named Toby lives around the area and doesn’t cause trouble. However, when Betty, a troublesome child, comes to the place, the once calm and peaceful atmosphere leaves. This book has some sad and almost ambiguous parts, but it is worth the read. It is quite a difficult book to get into and is hard to imagine the picture that the writer is trying to ‘paint’, but once you do, you can never put it down. It was my favourite Carnegie Book because it had an important lesson.
