Carly, Woodroffe Book Surfers

Saint Death

I believe that this book was more 'realistic' (even though I personally have never witnessed that level of extreme brutality) than some others I have read (e.g. THUG had a more optimist ending). But this complies better with real life situations - not every story ends happily... Although slightly unsatisfying, this book was well written and an interesting read. I didn't particularly relate to any of the characters: I am not an adult man living in a violent Mexico... but it was interesting to see the authors/characters' perspective. I would recommend it to others.
