Klara, Sir John's Shadowers
Salt to the Sea
This review is about Salt to the Sea, a heart wrenching novel set during World War 2. It is narrated by 4 different people who all have great secrets. They are all going to the same place: The Wilhelm Gustloff - a ship that promises freedom, protection and a new life. However, first they need to escape the destruction and death caused by the soldiers. They can't trust anyone. As the story goes on, you find out more and more about their mysterious pasts.
I loved this book because it made you feel as if you were there with them, fleeing from the terror of the war. It was terrifying and amazing all at once! I would recommend it to anyone 11+ because it is tragic but still beautiful. I would rate it 5/5
