Wolf Hollow

Annabelle lived in Wolf Hollow all her life: a quiet place, still damaged by the two world wars. When teenage bully Betty arrives in town, Annabelle's calm world is broken, along with everything she's ever known about being right and wrong. When Betty disappears local police suspect gentle loner Toby of whom Annabelle tries to prove innocent.

“Wolf Hollow” is beautifully written book. Annabelle narrates in the past tense, and the author: Lauren Wolk shows the beauty and hardship of living in rural land which has been so badly set back due to these wars.

Wolf Hollow is very interesting book which I very much enjoyed reading from the start, I couldn't stop reading and I finished the book very quickly!

The cover shows the mood and atmosphere of some parts of the story it is set in. The book also shows how innocent and curious a twelve year olds mind can be. I enjoyed the book and would rate it a 4.85/5 out of all the Carnegie shadowing books I have read.
