The Stars at Oktober Bend
Glenda Millard's 'the stars at oktober bend'
I find this heart-warming book a treasure to read as it follows the life of an autistic girl, who writes from her own point of view.
This book is slightly confusing as the grammar and punctuation is off, the full stops are in the wrong places and there are hardly any capital letters. All that we were taught in school is wiped from our minds as we put our heart into reading this book, and our soul as we the readers feel like we're supporting Alice through tough times.
This book was imaginative as one would expect a non-edited book to be.
I would recommend this book for ages 12+, as any ages below would probably find it hard and very confusing to read.
