Salt to the Sea

Salt to the sea is such a moving book, it brought me close to tears. The book has 4 main characters which all have a chapter every 4 pages. I loved it because when I read each chapter i felt as if they were really different people except for one of them. I really didn't like the chapters of when the Alfred was writing. I just found them boring and not appealing. Apart from that it was incredible. The story pulled you in so much that I read this book in 4 days! I did not want to put this book down. I am a fussy reader and when I say love a book, I really do mean it! The story really gets me thinking but in a good way. Some people just like books you can fall into and get lost but others like ones where there is some meaning and thinking involved. I think you can do both in this book. I would definitely recommend this book to you if you are not into History (as this book is about German refugees) it is a story of romance, action and loss.
