Wild Animals of the North
Wild Animals of the North is a non-fiction animal book like no other. Instead of having photographs of animals with in-depth labels, a long explanation on their lifestyle and habitat, and an altogether boring book for children, Dieter Braun has created a modern version of cubism, illustrating some animals residing in the North. The layout is fairly simple, with a few pictures of the animals and a very short-almost story like-passage of text.
I think this book is one of my favourites, just because of its incredible illustrations. His geometrical style gives the pictures a detailed yet simple look, creating a 3d effect.
I would rate this book a 9/10, as the pictures are breathtaking, and simply incredible. I would recommend it to children around the age of 6-7.
