The Smell of Other People's Houses
The multiple perspectives in this book was a very clever idea and as the book continued seeing where each character fitted into each others stories was very interesting but at multiple points I got very confused at who a person was. Also, some of the links between characters felt forced and unnecessary as though they had been put there simply to add a connection for the sake of it.
I cared for the characters but felt I could not properly get to know them as there was so many different stories , just as I was getting into one view it changed again! I also felt (SPOILER) that when Ruth gave her child up for adoption the huge mental impact that would have had was overlooked and it simply said she was moving on which seems very unrealistic to me.
Overall I did enjoy this book but there are parts of it that I didn't understand or like.
